When you are at a post card location, the very biggest temptation is to 'Get the postcard shot!' of course :D So sure, go ahead and do it.
There were a bazillion people there at Delicate Arch - all waiting for that magic moment.
What I love to do is think different. Everyone has that sunset shot of the arch. But how many have star trails on the moonlit arch? Sure, some, but it's worth the extra effort. Certainly not those people in the cars you can see trailing out in the distance (they're all the people that left the second the sun dropped below the horizon).
How to? Easy. A sturdy tripod, your camera set to bulb, f/5.6, iso 200, wait for it to get dark (about an hour+ at least after sunset) and let 'er rip :).
